Hello Hot Heads,

Check out three incredible salsa events on three consecutive Saturdays.

First up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, June 26, is the Madison Square Church Arts and Crafts Fair. This is a fund (and fun) raiser for their Making Room effort which is all about expanding God’s kingdom where they are in the city. There will be some other incredible vendors there with items including painting, jewelry, photography,  plants, and walking sticks to name just a few. Stop by for lunch by Southern Fish Fry or get a hot dog from the fundraising table. Take in a story and face painting for the kids, and take home some salsa.

Next Saturday is the Ada Independence Day Celebration (actually held on July 3- don’t let the title fool you) right across the street from the Alticor flag display in Ada. This is another great family outing with a pancake breakfast in the morning, parade at 10 a.m., then activities on the green until 3 p.m. Last year they had a bounce house and some carnival rides for the kids. It was an incredible day and we’re looking forward to more of the same. A classic car show and a fireworks display round out the day.

Then we’ll move to one of our all time favorite events: Avenue for the Arts Market, from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 10, in the 100 block of South Division. This is where I met many of you for the first time. It’s an eclectic crowd and there are always new artists with fresh creative wares for you to make your own. Don’t forget to stop and say hello and pick up your flavorite (favorite flavor) salsas that you’ve been missing.

It’s been a steamy summer so far so I hope that makes the peppers spicier for next season.

Here’s to keeping it HOT!
